How it is calculated
- P&L before fees = (exit − entry) × quantity for a long, (entry − exit) × quantity for a short
- Fees = (entry × quantity + exit × quantity) × fee rate
- Initial margin = entry × quantity ÷ leverage; ROE = net P&L ÷ initial margin × 100
Worked example
Long 2 coins at 100, close at 110, 10× leverage, 0.05% fee each side.
| You enter | |
|---|---|
| Direction | Long |
| Entry price | 100 |
| Exit price | 110 |
| Quantity (coins) | 2 |
| Leverage | 10 × |
| Fee per side | 0.05 % |
| You get | |
| Net P&L | 19.79 USDT |
| ROE (on margin) | 98.95% |
| P&L before fees | 20 USDT |
| Fees paid | 0.21 USDT |
| Initial margin | 20 USDT |
After 0.21 USDT in fees you make 19.79 USDT, which is 98.95% of the 20 USDT margin you put up.
