Liquidation Price Calculator
Estimate the liquidation price of a USDT-margined perpetual futures position in isolated margin, from entry, leverage and the exchange's maintenance margin rate.
- Liquidation price
- –
- Distance from entry
- –
How it is calculated
- Long: liquidation = entry × (1 − 1 ÷ leverage) ÷ (1 − MMR − fee)
- Short: liquidation = entry × (1 + 1 ÷ leverage) ÷ (1 + MMR + fee)
- Assumes isolated margin, no margin added later, and margin = position value ÷ leverage.
Worked example
A 10× long from 100 with a 0.5% maintenance margin rate.
| You enter | |
|---|---|
| Direction | Long |
| Entry price | 100 |
| Leverage | 10 × |
| Maintenance margin rate | 0.5 % |
| Liquidation fee rate | 0 % |
| You get | |
| Liquidation price | 90.45226 |
| Distance from entry | 9.55% |
A long at 10× is liquidated if the price falls about 9.55%, to 90.45226. Keep your stop-loss well before that.
Questions
Why does my exchange show a slightly different number?
Exchanges use tiered maintenance rates, a maintenance amount, mark price instead of last price, and sometimes fees. Enter the exact MMR from your exchange to get close.

An estimate. Each exchange uses its own formula, risk tiers, mark price and fees, so its displayed liquidation price is the one that counts. Cross margin is different. This is not financial advice. Results are estimates for information only and are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Crypto prices move fast and leveraged trading can lose more than you expect.
